Using you mind to improve your golf

The secret to cutting a few strokes of your golf game is learning to improve the competence of several areas of your brain. I know that you spend a lot of time and money on selecting just the right clubs for your bag. But do you take same amount of the time to improving your most important equipment. Parts of your brain that when developed allow you to play golf like a true master.

A person who masters anything has more neurons and thicker neural networks in the areas of the brain related to their chosen endeavor. For instance, after Dr. Albert Einstein passed away, it was discovered that his parietal lobes contained extremely think networks. Dedicated meditators have denser hippocampi, right prefrontal cortices, and reticular activating systems. While I don’t expect that golfers want to delve into the world of neuroanatomy, it suffices to say that developing a fantastic golf game means intentionally developing a master golfers brain.

As a result of my research and study into transformation and the development of human potential, I’ve determined that mastering anything requires three distinct steps. These are installing the required knowledge, enhancing the encoding of learned information, and being able to instantly activate the acquired wisdom when needed. Masters have an expert ability to learn new endeavors and can apply these skills to many topics.

This applies even more so to a golfer who wants to achieve a masterful game. Of course, starting young and spending all day on the course has always been the most reliable way to go. However, if you are a professional in any field other than golf, this most likely is not an option. So, how do you master golf when you only play once a week or a few times a month?

As a doctor of clinical hypnotherapy I have dedicated my life to studying peak performance, transformation, and mastery. This has led me to study with many of the top scientists and innovative thinkers from around the world. I’ve looked into brain plasticity, the savant syndrome, innovative methods for addressing stroke recovery, and other recent neurology breakthroughs. Combining these lessons with decades as a clinical hypnotherapist has led me to certain conclusions. I’ve asked how can I help a part time golfer learn to play like the pros.
